The world is constantly changing and lives are lost everyday. The mayhem of the COVID pandemic caused many people to slow down and reflect on what is truely important to them. donna maree created these images with the respect that many of us, regardless of which generation we are from, have one specific circumstance that we can generally relate to, and that is isolation. Loneliness is usually caused by a form of isolation or vice versa, and loneliness can also be felt when we are surrounded by friends and loved ones. Unfortunately the feeling of loneliness and isolation have been felt by many long before any pandemic.
These conceptual images show the irony of how quiet the urban community can become; how the congestion of traffic continues to be seen in the veins of a leaf; how life can become a network of convolutions showing no direction; how being stuck indoors can unleash imaginations to escape amongst the clouds; how those who have lost their lives can roam free to enjoy the simple pleasures of siting on a park bench reading a book; and how many continue to survive by fulfilling their loneliness with items that are the envy of others.
